Eyre Drone Co is locally owned, locally operated and based in Port Lincoln, flying right across the Eyre Peninsula and a fair way beyond it. Founded by Chief Remote Pilot Damien Lawrence, we hold a CASA-issued Remote Operator’s Certificate (ReOC), which is the aviation world’s way of saying we’ve done the paperwork, passed the tests and know exactly what we’re doing up there.
Damien is the only ReOC holder on the Eyre Peninsula with Instrument Ratings covering EVLOS1 (FPV), OONP (Over or Near People and Populous Areas) and NVLOS (Night Operations). In plain English, that means we can fly fast, fly close to crowds and fly after dark. He’s also certified to operate UAVs weighing up to 150 kg, and yes, they really do fly.
